Short description:
With the BEEYOND MUSHROOM operation, we are addressing the challenges of increasing and improving the offer in the field of healthy and active lifestyle, strengthening knowledge, skills and entrepreneurship, raising the quality of life for different population groups, protecting nature and the environment, strengthening local self-sufficiency, preserving and presenting cultural heritage and developing sustainable tourism.
The operation includes the establishment of medicinal mushroom farms, the development of new products from mushrooms and bee products, research to reduce viral diseases in bees, workshops, training and events for the local community.
Objectives of the operation:
• establish three new medicinal mushroom farms and expand production capacities, • conduct three workshops on mushroom cultivation and ecology, • develop a prototype of a drug to reduce viral diseases in bees and conduct preliminary research, • develop three new products from medicinal mushrooms and bee products, • network with a local primary school and prepare and implement teaching materials for primary school classes, • design and set up a "Mushroom Garden", • conduct a "Mushroom Fair" and raise public awareness about preserving the natural environment.
Expected results of the operation:
• three new medicinal mushroom farms established and capacities expanded, • three workshops on mushroom cultivation and ecology conducted, • a prototype of a medicine for bees developed and preliminary research conducted, • viral diseases of bees reduced, • three new products from medicinal mushrooms and bee products developed, • teaching materials prepared and implemented for primary school classes, • a "Mushroom Garden" established, • a "Mushroom Fair" held, • enhanced networking with local partners and increased awareness of sustainable living.

Program: The operation is implemented within the framework of the Community-Led Local Development Program (LEADER/CLLD approach) of the LAG Along the Heritage Paths from Turjak to Kolpa.
